Mon-Fri -7:00am-3:30

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Metrology (˜50%)

  • Perform mechanical and visual inspection of precision machined and ground components
  • Use a variety of inspection tools including:
  • Micrometers, calipers, height gages
  • Optical comparators, vision systems
  • Other dimensional measurement equipment
  • Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications
  • Support first article inspections, in-process inspection, and final inspection
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure data integrity within the QMS
  • Support calibration and measurement system integrity as required

Quality Engineering Support (˜50%)

  • Assist with PPAP documentation and customer submission packages
  • Support process and equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ as applicable)
  • Participate in nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Support CAPA activities, including effectiveness checks
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives tied to scrap, rework, and escapes
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to improve process capability and stability

Required Qualifications

  • Manufacturing background in precision metal work (machining, grinding, tooling, or similar)
  • Experience working within an ISO 13485 quality system strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of:
  • Dimensional inspection and metrology
  • Process controls
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Comfortable working hands-on in both the inspection lab and on the production floor
  • Excellent PC skills required:
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail with a practical, problem-solving mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with:
  • PPAP, validation protocols, NC/CAPA systems
  • SPC and basic statistical tools
  • Familiarity with:
  • Optical comparators, vision systems, hand tools
  • Prior experience in:
  • Medical device manufacturing
  • Aerospace, defense, or other regulated precision industries
